MEDIA&COMMUNICATIONS

ABOUT ME

I am a Slovenian native, media expert, content producer, communications manager and project coordinator.

As Marketing and Communications Manager for the environmental organisation The Nature Conservancy Europe, I am responsible for implementing Europe's marketing and communications strategy and developing the internal communications processes for a growing team.

I am experienced in developing value-driven messages. Impactful communication has always been at the core of my work, as in the OECD project "Communicating on Migrant Integration" and in campaigns and events around changing the narrative on migration.

As Communication Officer at the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, I was in charge of the IncluCities project's communication, managing social media, content production (articles, interviews, press releases), creating visuals and video scripts, and developing communication strategies and campaigns.

In my other role as a media relations consultant at Ecorys, I work as a key media expert in DG NEAR's communication activities, establishing relationships with journalists, supporting press trips, monitoring media coverage and leading the media coverage analysis.

In my previous position at the European Journalism Centre in Brussels EJC, I gained project management experience and became familiar with the EU environment while collaborating with the European Commission.

As a project manager of the REMINDER, the H2020 research on media practices around migration, I developed the ability to cross-cutting analyses and draft research reports and policy recommendations.

I managed a larger team as an editor for an educational and documentary TV programme Da Vinci Learning in Berlin.

I can edit audio and video content thanks to my early experience as a radio journalist. Used to the microphone, I also am at ease with public speaking.

In addition to my professional experience, I am a mindful team player and a mentor with a positive approach.

A yoga lover and vegetarian, passionate about projects and people that can make a change.

COMMUNICATION

Ability to use different kinds of communication channels and language approaches in order to reach different audiences.
Very good verbal communication skills.
Experienced in writing articles, interviews, blog posts.
Experience in moderating events, webinars, meetings.
Proven ability to establish good relationships with internal and external partners.

Organisation

DIGITAL

Good Microsoft Office skills (spreadsheets, Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
Creation and management of websites (inclucities.eu) with Wix, WordPress, Joomla.
Advanced social media management.
Experience in the creation of visuals and animations with CANVA, Prezi.
Basic knowledge in video editing with Kapwing.
Use of newsletters tools Mailchimp, Joomla...
